Dhammakaya Centre Singapore Illuminates the Lights of Faith in a Grand Vesak Day 2026 Celebration
เมื่อวันที่ 31 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ.2569 วัดพระธรรมกายสิงคโปร์ ณ เขตปงโกล จัดงานบุญพิธีเนื่องในวันวิสาขบูชา วันสำคัญสากลของโลกอย่างอบอุ่น ท่ามกลางบรรยากาศพหุวัฒนธรรมอันร่มเย็น โดยได้รับเกียรติจาก คุณซุน เสวี่ยหลิง (Ms. Sun Xueling) รัฐมนตรีอาวุโสแห่งรัฐ กระทรวงคมนาคม แห่งสิงคโปร์ เป็นประธานฝ่ายประชาชน และได้รับความเมตตาจาก พระครูภาวนากิจวิเทศ (สมเกียรติ วรวํโส) เจ้าอาวาสวัดพระธรรมกายสิงคโปร์ เป็นประธานฝ่ายสงฆ์ นำคณะสงฆ์และสาธุชนประกอบพิธีกรรมอันศักดิ์สิทธิ์ สะท้อนความสัมพันธ์อันงดงามระหว่างหน่วยงานภาครัฐ วัด และชุมชนท้องถิ่น
ภายในงานมีสาธุชนทั้งชาวสิงคโปร์และต่างชาติพร้อมใจกันสวมชุดขาวมาร่วมสวดมนต์และเจริญสมาธิภาวนา โดยมีพระพุทธรูปปางสมาธิสีทองอร่ามเป็นศูนย์รวมจิตใจ
กิจกรรมตลอดทั้งวันเน้นการส่งเสริมศีลธรรมและการสืบทอดอายุพระพุทธศาสนา อาทิ นิทรรศการพุทธประวัติจำลอง กิจกรรมถวายดอกบัวบูชาพระของเยาวชน และพิธีตักบาตรถวายดอกไม้แด่คณะสงฆ์
ไฮไลต์สำคัญเกิดขึ้นในยามค่ำคืนกับพิธีจุดประทีปโคมไฟวิสาขบูชา โดยสาธุชนประมาณ 300 คนได้ร่วมใจกันจุดแสงประทีปให้สว่างไสวพร้อมกัน ซึ่งไม่เพียงแต่ขับไล่ความมืดมิดในยามราตรี แต่ยังเป็นสัญลักษณ์แทนดวงประทีปแห่งปัญญาที่จะส่องสว่างนำพาความสงบสุขมาสู่ใจของมวลมนุษยชาติ
สร้างความปลาบปลื้มปีติเป็นล้นพ้นแก่ผู้ร่วมงานทุกคน
SINGAPORE (DCS) — On 31th May 2026, Dhammakaya Centre Singapore, located in Punggol, hosted a grand merit-making ceremony to celebrate Vesak Day, an international Day of the World. The event took place in a peaceful multi-cultural atmosphere, honored by Ms. Sun Xueling, Senior Minister of State for Transport of Singapore, who served as the lay chairperson. Phrakru Bhavanakitvites (Somkiat Varavamso), Abbot of Dhammakaya Centre Singapore, graciously presided over the monastic assembly, leading the monks and congregation in the sacred rituals and reflecting a beautiful bond between government agencies and the local Punggol community.
During the event, numerous Singaporean and foreign devotees dressed in pure white gathered to chant and practice meditation inside the tranquil main hall, unified by the serene golden Buddha statue. Various activities throughout the day focused on promoting morality and preserving Buddhist heritage, including a replica exhibition of the Buddha's life, children pinning lotus flowers to pay respect to the Buddha, and a close alms-giving ceremony of offering flowers to the monastic community.
The key highlight unfolded into the night with the Vesak light-lighting ceremony. Approximately 300 devotees united to ignite the flames of peace, illuminating the hall. This beautiful radiance not only dispelled the darkness of the night but also symbolized the light of wisdom shining to bring peace and happiness to the hearts of humanity, leaving all attendees filled with immense joy.
